Agency Overview
DCCC provides alternative sentencing options for the local court system. Through the use of evidence-based practices and services for participants, DCCC strives to reduce the rate of recidivism in our community.
DCCC was established January 1991. The building which now houses our operations opened in 2003. Dubois County Community Corrections supervises, and houses individuals sentenced to Work Release in our 170-bunk facility. Additionally, Dubois County Community Corrections monitors individuals on Home Detention and Pretrial Release.
Facility operations are funded by user fees and State and Federal Grants. No county funds are utilized except for building maintenance.
PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act)
It is the policy of DCCC to provide a safe, humane, secure environment, free from the threat of sexual violence/misconduct for all participants and staff. The agency shall maintain a zero tolerance for sexual abuse and harassment for anyone associated with the facility including volunteers, contractors, clergy and the public. All allegations of sexual misconduct or harassment shall be administratively and or criminally investigated.
